Do you have a new Sewing machine, or an older one that you feel you just don't know how to use? Then this class is the answer!
We will take you through all the basics from threading the machine to buttonholes and zippeers.
You will be sewing a simple cushion cover using your new found skills, a process that includes sewing seams, using different types of stitches and sewing a buttonhole!
You will also learn how to make a zippered case.
After this class, you will have the confidence to get started on your sewing journey.
Class Requirements:
- Sewing machine in Good working condition with power cord, foot control and all accessories (Must have Zipper foot and buttonhole foot)
- Good Quality sewing thread - if unsure we have some available to purchase in store
- Scissors, pins, fabric marking pen, Tape measure, ruler, hand sewing needles and machine needles size 80/12 or 90/14
- Bobbins for your machine
- Cotton fabric - 60cm x 110
- 50 cm iron on wadding
- 3 buttons appox 15mm wide
- 45cm cushion inner
- 30 cm main fabric (cut 2x 8" x 10" and 2x 5"x2")
- 30 cm contrast fabric (cut 2x 8" x 10")
- 30 cm Zipper to match or contrast with your fabric
- 30 cm iron interfacing
- Notebook and pen
